The three-aisle church is the oldest ecclesiastical monument in town. It was built probably in the early 13th century and served in turn as parish, filial, and cemetery church. Renaissance alterations were made in 1614, Baroque apperance dates from 1739-40. The altar of St Florian underwent major renovation in 2008-9.

The church was built around the beginning of the 13th century and it originally served as a parish church, then as a branch church and finally as a cemetery church.
