The two-storey house with a mansard roof is extended towards the garden by a glazed ground floor loggia. In 1924 the town of Beroun bought the villa and placed the town library and museum collections there. The garden, which was separated from the street by a high wall, was later turned into a public park, which has been named after the town historian and archivist, Prof. Ferdinand Pakosta, since 1932. In the orchard there is a statue of "Genius of Bedřich Smetana" by Václav Živec, a native of Beroun. In 1996 the villa was entered into the Central List of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. In 2002-2003 the building underwent a thorough reconstruction.
